THURSDAYS THOUGHTS (No one can bring you peace but yourself!)

Standard

Do you find yourself being unhappy because of what your partner is or is not doing? the way your children are living their lives? Are you hoping things will change at work with co-workers, your boss or your friends so you can be happy? DOES YOUR HAPPINESS DEPEND ON OTHERS AROUND YOU?

LISTEN UP!!! ….”If your peace and your happiness is contingent on someone else, prepare for a life of misery”.

<What im saying is:-

People (even family members) are illogical, unreasonable, and self-centered.
Love them anyway.

If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish ulterior motives.
Do good anyway.

The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow.
Do good anyway.

this is all so true and and right on board with how I have been feeling the last few days. things i do and plan need to only matter to myself. my daughter walks in everyday so unhappy and it drives me crazy right before i read this she did it again and i told myself this is her problem. I provide everything I can and I will not let her bring me down. I choose to be happy if your not come back when you are,

    • One thing you can do is to sit with her and talk to her about the same thing. That she cannot allow others whether friends or otherwise to steal her joy or fully affect her happiness. May to seek support for her with a counselor in or outside school, or a family member she is close with. Remember, it is not her intent to make you unhappy.

So very true. Its so easy to look to others for your happiness. But, harder to find happiness within yourself. Its why the happiness and peace of mind you find within means more and is longer lasting.
