Mommy. Mama. Mother. Mum. Mammy. Madre. So many words to describe the role, but so few that can adequately explain the wonder of motherhood and just how much it means. It’s such a unique, unfathomable experience, it can be difficult to capture in words.
From me to my mommy:
To describe my mother would be to write about a hurricane in its perfect power. –~ Maya Angelou~
To my big sis:
She never quite leaves her children at home, even when she doesn’t take them along. —
~Margaret Culkin Banning~
To my little sis:
A mother is a person who seeing there are only four pieces of pie for five people, promptly announces she never did care for pie.
— Tenneva Jordan~
A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials heavy and sudden, fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends who rejoice with us in our sunshine desert us; when trouble thickens around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts.
— Washington Irving
