Elastic Thoughts (for your work day)
1-Close your eyes, and keep your attention on your breathing. Take several mindful breaths.
2- Picture your distractions as rubber bands that are making your desks untidy. Pick up one of them, and snap it to the back of your mind, saying, “we’re at work now, we can think about this later.”
3- Take a couple of breaths, then repeat the process a few times, until your desks is clear of distractions. Then open your eyes and bring your attention to work; if an interruptive thought comes to mind, simply visualize snapping it away.
